all things are political in nature.
the tenacious temptress tempts the tormented tsar.
unlock the hearth to reveal it's secrets,
a proliferation of chaos ensues.
the government issued;
kellogg-briand-pact,
neglected into the pages of oblivion
we heed not it's warning.
look left, right, up, down.
but never directly in front.
"cash for gold"
is the new slogan,
begin the War on Resources.
perhaps, we have forgotten the simplicity of things.
made complex by it's duopolistic nature.
and checkmate

we're in near tandem eager ranvier
impetuous as the blizzard.
the peninsula awaits
during this inhospitable winter.
insofar as nature allows,
another age, another time.
the seemingly limitless
maelstrom of crowds,
dissipates.
as the icy slush whirs
behind throttled wheels.
to seek warmth,
forsaken long-ago by boreas
is an,
inescapable,
insatiable,
incredible,
ephemeral sensation.

A message
North Korea: A Message of Peace
North Korea called for an end to hostile relations with the United States in a New Year’s message on Friday, the official news agency KCNA reported. In a report on a joint newspaper editorial, the news agency said “the fundamental task for ensuring peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula and in the rest of Asia” was to end the hostile relationship between North Korea and the United States. The report also said that North Korea’s “consistent stand” was to work toward a nuclear-free Korean Peninsula.President Obama wrote a letter to the North Korean leader, Kim Jong-il, last month to urge North Korea to return to nuclear disarmament talks.

Is this the first step towards actually de-militarizing the DMZ? Do the South Koreans actually care for reunification? Will the United States formally finish what was started over 57 years ago? Or, is this simply North Korean rhetoric to get more aid? What will happen if the Korea's become reunited? Will we see a repeat of West/East Germany? Does anyone care?
Let's see what 2010 holds for us.
