Today the world is as globalized as it could be - - yet we struggle to find meaning in our daily existence.

Jamsil to Hongdae

One of many New Year's resolutions for 2011 was to create a video of Seoul. Without any adequate filming tools, I had spent the past few months diligently perusing the internets, reading review upon review, and streaming through seemingly endless "test" footage. All those late night hours spent came down to the Canon S95 (highly rated compact point and shoot), the Lumix GH2 (beautifully crafted micro 4/3rds that can shoot HD video), and the Nikon D7000 (superbly rated prosumer DSLR). I couldn't justify using a Canon product, nor a micro 4/3rds camera without a viewfinder. In the end, the D7000 won (though I knew that that was what I wanted to use from the get-go).

This is my first second attempt at editing a short video (the first time was for the TSM SPOP Intro video). I definitely have a whole newfound respect for those that spend hours editing, cutting, rendering, compressing, transferring, and eventually uploading a video to the internets. Even then, I really had no idea what I was doing. There are no color edits, no filters, nothing Hollywood here, but it was a great learning experience. I am uber-excited to shoot more footage, and to expand my levels of creativity.

Here goes nothing & I hope you enjoi!

you can catch the HD version on Vimeo.
